[This past week the downrod bite has taken off. Water temps are pushing 80 degrees. The fish are schooling up on 20-30ft points. We are fishing downrod herring 15-20ft down. This past week we are starting to see bigger schools of fish showing up. Still finding fish up shallow on points and flats but are finding bigger groups out a little deeper over a 20-40ft bottom. Fishing has been great all week. We have been catching good numbers of 5-15 pound fish on the northend in the backs of the creeks. Downrods, freelines and u-rigs are all producing at different times.
