Current Lake Lanier Fishing Report – Fishing report from April 18th, 2013

Since my last report the striper fishing on Lake Lanier has been awesome. I have been on the water just about everyday and on the slow days we have boated 3 stripers and on best day we boated 15. On average we are putting about 6-7 in the boat which is good for this time of year not to mention most of them are quality fish. Free lining blue back herring has worked the best for me. Some days adding a little split shot will get more bites. Starting to get a few on topwater plugs like redfins. The stripers are still scattered all over the lake right now. I have been on the northend, southend, back of the creeks, main lake points and out in open water. All bites have been about equal. Just get out there and get some baits in the water and you will get bit. Like always thanks to all that have book my boat this month and look forward to fishing with y’all again.
