Lake Lanier Fishing Report (7-1-2012)

Lake Lanier Fishing Guide. Fishing report from July 1, 2012

Since my last report fishing has been great. Water temps are in the high 80’s and the stripers are heading out into the river channel seeking the cold oxygenated water. Downrod herring 30-60ft down has been the best bite. Have not done much trolling yet. Have heard of a decent leadcore bite pulling 1 1/2oz bucktail jigs 7-8 colors out. The striper bite will continue getting better through out the rest of the summer. Don’t let the heat stop you from going. The hotter the weather is the hotter the fishing will be!!!!!
