Lake Lanier Fishing Report (1-30-2012)

Lake Lanier Fishing Guides. Fishing report from January 30th, 2012

Striper fishing this month has been up and down. The weather has been great and the water temps are staying in the high 40’s which is good for this time of year. One day you go out and they are everywhere and the next day they go into hiding. U rigs are still producing better for me. Last week I found some mega schools and put a whooping on them with a 1oz white flex it spoon. Caught a few here and there on down rod trout.
Crappie fishing doesn’t get any better than right now. Deep water docks 15-25ft. Most of the fish are holding 10-15ft. Captain Macks 1/32oz popeye jigs are the #1 producer with the panfish assassin coming in 2nd. Great time to stock up the freezer with some of the best eating fish in Lake Lanier.
