10-20-10 Lake Lanier Fishing Report

Written by jeffblair on October 21, 2010

The main lake is in full turnover right now so the bite down south is hit or miss. There have been some great days of topwater action. As in the past redfins and spooks are the plugs to catch them on. The nightime bomber bite is starting to take off. Hit as many points as you can and you will catch fish for the next couple weeks. The northend is almost turned over and has a lot of little stripers but the bigger ones are still south. Best chance to catch a big fish right now is pull big shad or trout in the back of the southend creeks on freelines and plannerboards. Overall the weather and fishing has been good all month and is going to get better after the lake turnsover.
